As a person diagnosed with PTSD and having been in a major depression, I can't say that this relaxed me as much as it woke me up. No jitteriness as many stimulants that I'd use to try to wake up would do to me.
I am definitely more focused and things just seem more balanced since I've been using this.
The relief of my depression actually is like a euphoria. I feel like I haven't felt since I was a kid. It's really great and really works. It is also good for the skin, whatever that's worth to you.
The alpha-stim is a device like this that requires an Rx, though I think this one goes higher in intensity

you can also make your own CES if you know anything about electronics. The directions are at a site called redcircuits. Anyway, this device is excellent all around. I am thankful to have come across it
